Internship Communication and Marketing

If you love variety, this internship is perfect for you! One day, you’ll be out in the field in Bonaire, working with local partners to protect sea turtle nests or help clean coral nurseries. After the fieldwork, you’ll shift to creating reels and other content, or even drafting strategic communication plans.

Internship Communication

(32 – 40 hours)

You will support the Communications Advisor for the Dutch Caribbean program from Bonaire. In addition to actively participating in communication activities about the projects that WWF-NL carries out in the Dutch Caribbean, you will collect stories on this island that we can share on social media and in our blogs.

Specific activities

  • Interview people
  • Write blogs, make short videos, create social media posts in English
  • Writing press releases in NL/ENG
  • Write (help) communication plan
  • Provide input for communication materials
  • Support at events

 

WWF-NL is looking for a motivated final-year student with a background in communication and marketing (higher professional education or university). The candidate is able to work independently, in a structured manner within an ambitious team. A good command of Dutch and English is necessary. Most communication materials must be produced in English and Papiamentu. Candidates that are proficient in Papiamentu as well are a great asset for this role.

We are looking for an intern who is creative, loves to write, create content for social media and the website (text, visuals and video). Someone who can contribute to the overall marketing strategy and its implementation.

What do we offer?

  • An internship of 4-6 months (longer is also possible) in Bonaire. Start date in September 2026.
  • An internship allowance of €550 per month on a full-time basis.
